Priority placement for housing

You can get priority placement for housing if you have strong medical or social reasons, or if you are facing serious threats.

To apply for priority placement, you must:

  • have a Swedish identification number
  • have been registered in the City of Stockholm for at least one year
  • be registered with the Stockholm Rental Agency.

You must also show that your current housing is unsuitable for you and that you are unable to find housing on your own.

Send your signed application and documents by email or post. A housing assistant will contact you, investigate your needs and make a decision following current guidelines. If your application is successful, you will get a housing offer. If your application is unsuccessful, you can ask for a review.

Contact the Stockholm Rental Agency’s customer service or customer reception for more information and support.
